To everyone who knows M8triarch as it is, and to those curious about what it is becoming…. Thank you for your presence and for your patience.

After a much-needed pause, I took extra time to absorb all that M8triarch grew to hold, in order to fully understand what this home was intended to carry.

The doors of this home, my home, were opened from a knowing of what is possible when people, art and a little courage meet in the same room. Out of all of my life’s ventures this is what I gravitate to create first.

With that intention, beautiful moments happened many times over. Some nights held what words could not express, and sent us away breathing deeper. Artists found one another; strangers stayed long enough to feel seen. Many connections lived on beyond the front door.

Undoubtedly, opening a home also changes how your spirit moves through it after everyone has gone away. At times, the warmth of its welcome made the threshold easier to forget. A space held for others must leave room for the spirit that lives there, and what remains possible to grow, while recognizing what it actually takes to maintain, without assumption. I am learning to honor my own capacity within that care: what I can hold with integrity, and where the form must change so the intention can remain true.

M8triarch as an offering, was born from a belief in honoring something bigger than all of us. Giving it my grandmother’s namesake was an act of love. Nona’s actual home, our family home, was always sacred. She cared deeply about the spaces she provided and knew the weight of each welcome within them. In her real voice her, “Can you imagine?” demanded the audacity of warmth being mistaken for an invitation without limits.

M8triarch was created as an extension of home, never meant to exclusively be a venue. That was not the goal and something I failed to protect at times. M8triarch was always meant to hold art, people and possibility with similar care. It is an honor and my responsibility to recognize the importance of returning to that intention, regardless of the structure that remains or the environment in which it is held.

What began here is still alive, I assure you. However, this season I am listening a bit harder and with the discernment passed onto me, well before my time…

My deepest gratitude to EVERYONE that has supported this space and so much more. I truly hope to see you soon and that you continue to join within the evolution of the creative growth we all deserve to experience.

About the records and counting

Programme listings document what was advertised; collaborator retrospectives provide evidence of what took place. Founder-confirmed gatherings are identified within each record. No attendance, reach or final event total is inferred from ticket capacity or promotional material. The eight UNSEEN sessions include the four dated entries; the ReWire / People of Lisbon gathering appears once; Cross-Cultural Conversations sits within the three Reignwel gatherings. Named private dinners may fall within the four private events and are not added again.

Some Salon listings fall on neighbouring dates and are retained as separate programme records until any rescheduling is reconciled. This archive is a programme history, not an independently audited attendance register. Reviewed 25 October 2026.

What continues

One beginning.
More room to become.

M8triarch grew from a home, living gallery and artist residency. That history lives in the work: how someone is welcomed, how art begins a conversation, and how care gives people reason to stay.

We will now carry that point of view into hospitality, residential and cultural spaces—through large-scale atmospheric and creative representation. The home that shaped us remains part of the story; the intention can find form wherever organizations and developers are ready to meet it.

M8triarch continues to provide art, aesthetic direction and human experience into one spatial story. We begin with how a place should make people feel, then give that feeling form.

We work with and source local and international artists, including those creating work at large scale, to shape one cohesive experience for each space.

It began with
a woman’s hands.

Each line, a road to every connection she created.
Every textured vein, proof of life and love.

Her hands held us in each beginning,
then taught our hands what to carry:
room for memory, laughter, gratitude—
and the courage to keep making space.

Our story begins with a woman’s hands. Two tiny hands, that capture the entire map of our existence.

Our MATRIARCH.

Each line, a road to every connection she created. Every textured vein showing proof of life and love. A daily reminder of a gift passed through us.

Nona’s hands held us in each and every one of our beginnings, led us through each road life delivered and continues to bind us toward each purpose fulfilled and still forever in motion.

Nona’s hands were full of messages unspoken and gestures full of character.

Her nails were always cured as a symbol of her diligence to self care. Her skin like silk and satin combined—with a yard stick grip of strength.

Nona’s hands will always tell a story. For many generations to come.

God allowed us to borrow an angel for a CENTURY in time. 🙏🏽

He created a being for us all to share in her image. To every one of her off spring—look closely, we all have her hands. Our hands are Nona’s hands.

With them we can remember to use them to push fear and sadness away from our hearts, in order to hold space for memories of love, laughter, gratitude and the honor that we were gifted with so much of her time.

In our own hands we get to hold Nona’s spirit, for an eternity.

Hire me directly

I am a creative strategist, art director, curator and founder with more than 15 years of experience, now focusing primarily on the Human Experience. My work has led me through unique places and spaces around the world. I see what often goes unseen and identify how people need to feel within a space to enhance the overall experience. I have honed this practice with boutique hotels, dining groups, retreat concepts and artist residency organizations.

Having held a space of my own, I know how easily meaningful efforts can lose sight of the impact they were meant to have. I bring that lived perspective to each collaboration, keeping human experience, desired impact and business goals in view as intention becomes execution.
